BIO:
‘Hi, my name is Mallory Oxendine. I currently live in Aiken, South Carolina with my husband, Jayson and our dog, Banks. Jayson and I have been married a little over a year and are enjoying this season of life of learning about one another. I am in my final year of graduate school attaining a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. I am in the process of pursing certifications in Trauma and Christian Sex Therapy. I am currently interning at Aurora Pavilion, a short-term psychiatric hospital in Aiken, SC. At Aurora Pavilion I have the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults offering group therapy treatment and services.
I have the privilege of presenting on mental health issues that can affect children in the foster-care system. Due to the strenuous environment and uncertainties that foster-care can present it leaves these children susceptible to certain emotional and mental health concerns. I am excited to come together to discuss, process, and learn about how we can be pro-active in the mental health realm. As well as learning the best steps to take when providing care for these children. ‘
