TOPIC: Coming Alongside (Both Bio and Adopted and Foster) Teenagers

Speaker- Melissa Miller- Adolescents today have more going on in their world than we can imagine. Both biological and foster teens have struggles in multiple areas as they learn today’s world. What is normal and what is not is a question many parents ask about this age group! Melissa Miller has worked with teenagers for ten years in ministry and education settings. She will share ways to come alongside adolescents, encouraging their development in identity, autonomy and belonging. As parents or caring adults in their lives, we want to help them navigate the world as they ask significant life questions such as ‘Who am I?’ ‘Do I matter?’ and ‘Where do I fit in?’
