CEU – Parenting in Racially Diverse Families from an Adoptee’s Perspective

CEU – Parenting in Racially Diverse Families from an Adoptee’s Perspective

Date/Time:04/15/2020 | 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Description:

This CEU was originally supposed to be held in Gainesville a few weeks ago but had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19. Our speaker, Revi Williams, graciously offered to share this material in a Zoom CEU format so that all our families can have access to the information.

Revi is a black man who was adopted by white parents at a young age. He will be sharing his experience growing up in a racially diverse family, including what his parents did that was helpful, what was challenging, and advice he would give to parents who are parenting children of a different race. This content will help us learn how to honor and respect a child’s cultural background and raise them with a strong and complete sense of wholeness and identity.

In order to receive 2 CEU hours for attending, you will have to “sign in” in the chat box when directed to towards the end of the session.

If you register, you will receive the link to the Zoom meeting on April 14th, the day before this class starts. Hope to “see” many of you there!
