26 Feb CEU – Do’s and Don’ts of Taxes and Foster Care/Adoption
Date/Time:02/26/2020 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Summit Baptist Church
3080 Highway 81S
Loganville GA 30052
Bruce Burkholder is a CPA from RESJ Accounting and he offered to come and share his knowledge about how foster care and adoption impact taxes. This information will be helpful to a lot of you since it’s that time of year!
It will be held at Summit Baptist Church in Loganville from 6:30 to 8 on February 26th. Dinner will be provided and childcare will be offered but it will be limited so it will be on a first come first serve. The cut off for childcare, if we still have spaces, is February 23 and it will be firm because Summit needs to know how many children to prepare to host.
Some of the topics covered include what to do if you don’t have a social security number for your foster child and the regulations around when you can and cannot claim your foster child as a dependent and what to do if a birth parent ineligibly claims their child which impacts you being able to claim them. He will also discuss federal and state adoption tax credits.
Bookings are closed for this event.
